Ham and Sweet Pea Creamy Pasta

I wasn't going to share this one because my pictures uploaded blurry but this is too good not to share. This is so easy to make, it's quick and delicious. Even my kids, who don't enjoy sweet peas, request this about once a month. I like to remind everyone that I cook for a big family so recipe may need to be halved.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cut ham into 1/4 inch slices > cut slices into thin strips. You want them thin enough to bend with the pasta but not so thin they break during cooking.
- 2
Heat butter in heavy bottomed pot or non-stick > add ham slices and cook on medium heat until strips start to get a little golden sear
- 3
Add onion and saute for a few minutes until they take on the color of the sear and are translucent
- 4
Add garlic and saute until fragrant (about 2 or 3 minutes)
- 5
Turn heat to low and add cream > stir well with a wooden spoon, being sure to get any sear left on the bottom of the pot > cover with low heat > stir every few minutes while you make your pasta
- 6
Fill pot with water and prepare pasta according to package instructions
- 7
When pasta is done add one cup of pasta water to sauce
- 8
Add 1 cup of the parmesan. Stir and let cook for two minutes or until cheese is incorporated. Take off heat and serve over pasta with left over parmesan dressed on top.

Creamy Pasta With Burdock Root and Sweet Potato Creamy Pasta With Burdock Root and Sweet Potato
It's important to eat a lot of fiber-rich foods in order to maintain a happy digestive system. I combined such ingredients here.If you cook it for too long after adding the cream, the sauce will split. Use the residual heat from the pasta when mixing. If you use less penne and more of the other ingredients, it's more effective in dealing with digestive issues. You can use linguine or fettuccine instead of penne. Recipe by koumedesu cookpad.japan -

Ham and Pineapple Pasta Salad Ham and Pineapple Pasta Salad
I made this for decades with Poppyseed dressing. It is still one of best salads ever with that. But then I discovered Braswell's Vidalia Onion Peppercorn dressing. There are other brands, but, Oh, mercy. The other secret is tiny ingredients. Use smallest shells, smallest peas, finest chopped ham. Chop your peppers finely and celery finely. This is the first time I have added celery- an extra crunch. vjcrochet -
Creamy Tomato Pasta Creamy Tomato Pasta
In my house, everyone is obsessed with this dish. I make it regularly now. I was inspired by my favoritel italian restaurant who serves the best pastas (I'm biased). This sauce is pretty close to their ravioli sauce that I LOVE. I typically make herb chicken or shrimp to go with this. But the pasta alone is wonderful! Ashlee Polhamus -
