Take a cooker and put washed moong dal and water in it.

Along with water add salt, hing and ghee also.

Meanwhile, take a fry pan. Put butter in it.

Once butter starts melting, add cumin seeds to it. Wait for the cumin seeds to turn brown.

Now, add chopped garlic to it. After 2-3 minutes of frying garlic, add chopped onions.

Keep stirring, untile your onions turn golden brown in colour. Like shown in the image below.

Now, add turmeric and stir it well. Keep stirring for 2-3 minutes. Then add cooked moong dal in it.

Stir it for 3-4 minutes, so that your dal get mixed well.

So, now your moong dal is Ready. You can further add coriander leaves also in it. Serve it with chapati or rice.
