Cream Cheese and Potatoes Wrapped in Cured Ham Christmas Wreath Cream Cheese and Potatoes Wrapped in Cured Ham Christmas Wreath
This is what i made for Christmas last year. I used to make it with ordinary mashed potatoes, but this time I added cream cheese for richness.Add cream cheese while the potato is still hot, so that it melts while mashing. You don't have to make the mashed potatoes totally smooth, so a wooden spatula is fine. The flavors become muted when the potato has cooled, so add a bit more salt and pepper than you normally would. I used Kewpie House's "Christmas Tree de Potato Salad"recipe as the base for my idea.I leave the potatoes a bit hard and make sure not to mash them too much so you can enjoy the potato chunks in the salad. I don't have a star shaped cutter, I so cut the carrots into s by hand but it was harder than I expected. Recipe by kurolabu428 cookpad.japan -
