Mix all the ingredients for making kadhi batter in a mixing bowl and beat thoroughly. Add 1 litre of water and mix well. Keep aside.

Now heat oil in a karahi and put cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped ginger sauté for 1 minute. Add garlic and saute for another minute. Add asafetida.

Now add finely chopped onions and cook till onion gets translucent. Add grated tomato and cook till oil leaves the karahi.

Now add kadhi batter in this tadka and stir well. Cook it for 20 minutes on medium flame.

For making pakoras add grm flour and all the ingredients except fenugreek leaves and make a batter. Beat it thorougly. Now add fenugreek leaves and mix.

Heat oil in a karahi and put batter with a spoon and make pakodas. Fry till golden brown colour.

Now add these pakodas in kadhi batter and cook for 5 minutes till pakodas become soft. Swith off the flame.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and garam masala.

In a separate pan heat 2 bowls of water and add 1 bowl of washed and soaked rice and cook on low flame till water is absorbed. Boiled rice is ready.

Serve hot with kadhi
