Oven-Grilled (baked) pork ribs

This is a staple around my house. Usually we make them sticky using barbecue sauce but decided to change it up today.
Oven-Grilled (baked) pork ribs
This is a staple around my house. Usually we make them sticky using barbecue sauce but decided to change it up today.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees
- 2
Prepare ribs by washing and removing excess fat.
- 3
Mix all the ingredients together to make a thick paste. Rub this paste on both sides of the ribs generously
- 4
Wrap in foil tightly and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes checking occasionally. Remove from foil and set oven to 200 degrees
- 5
Alternatively, boil your ribs in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes (instead of step 4) to avoid the slow process of waiting especially if you need it done quickly (or to save on units 😉)
- 6
Place the ribs on the oven rack and bake for another 30 mins or more depending on how dry you’d like it. Wanted it super crunchy so did these for 45 mins.
- 7
Remove from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes
- 8
Serve with ugali and kachumbari

Oven Jerk Ribs Oven Jerk Ribs
This was my first time ever making jerk ribs. I used to eat at this Jamaican restaurant almost everyday, but when I quit my job, I couldn't eat there as much because it was over an hour away from my house. I decided to try and make my own. I believe I'm still missing an ingredient, but these were awesome and fell straight off the bone. Thook31 -
Slow Cooker Barbecued Ribs Slow Cooker Barbecued Ribs
Every summer when I was home during college and then my early 20s, I would make ribs at least once a summer. It was a summer staple in my house. But the heat from the oven, combined with the summer heat & humidity, made it unbearable in my house.Time passes and I stop making the ribs during the summer, leaving it for the cooler months. Even after I got a place with an AC, I did not dare to make ribs during the summer.Fast forward to a year ago when we bought our slow cooker. A long time friend suggested that I should try to make my ribs in the slow cooker. It took me almost a year, but I finally tried it.I checked out a few recipes, but they all said to broil them for a few minutes after they were done in the slow cooker. We may have a good AC now, but I refuse to put the oven on ever during the summer. Taking the chance, I did not put them .in the slow cooker. Trust me when I say this, the ribs do not need to be put into the oven. They are fall off the bone delicious.Serve with sauteed/steamed/grilled vegetables, potato/macaroni salad, corn, corn bread, macaroni & cheese, etc.Enjoy! J.A.B. -

Grilled Pork Ribs Grilled Pork Ribs
Two friends, Pat and Kathy suggested trying a new flavoring liquid. It's called Maggi. It's very similar to soy sauce but with much more flavor. This was my first try at using it and we were so pleased with the flavor. You can look for it in your local supermarkets. It's worth a search. Taylor Topp Comacho -

My family is a little on the "country" side. So, on Christmas, instead of a traditional ham or turkey, we would gather around my grandparents' table and catch up with one another while feasting on Southern Illinois-style barbecue. Sliced pork shoulder with a vinegar based sauce. Chad Richey -

Ribs from a Floridian oven Ribs from a Floridian oven
Well were eat ribs a lot here in Florida. We usually have them on special occasion. Today it's pouring rain outside or they would be on the grill. Lots of lightning, over fifteen hundred strikes per minute in the area. skunkmonkey101
