We usually have to make a double recipe, one for soup, and one for Casey to enjoy with butter and cheese.

Bring a large pot of water to boil seasoned with salt.

Beat eggs and milk together for 1 minute. Slowly add in flour while continuously mixing. The dough will be very sticky.

Place your Spaetzle Make over the pot of boiling water and fill the square basket with dough. As you slide the basket back and forth, the tiny dumplings drop into the boiling water. This will require a few batches to not overcrowd the pot. Stir occasionally to prevent dumplings clumping together.

When they're done, they will rise to the surface (about 2-3 minutes). Use a large slotted spoon to strain them out into a large bowl. Repeat the process until all of the dough is used up. They are ready to add to your favorite soup or as a side dish.
