Steps

Boil rice with 10 cups of water and turn off the flame when it is 90% cooked. Strain off the excess water and keep aside.

Mix required quantity of food colour to 2 tsp of water and leave aside.

Take a heavy base pan and add ghee. Add other ingredients under tempering along with all dryfruits when ghee is heated up.

Add sugar with 1/2 cup of water and stir continuously.

Add saffron strands, elaichi powder and food colour mixture to the pan.

Stir and cook till the sugar dissolves.
After sugar dissolves, add boiled rice and mix gently so there are no lumps. - 7
Reduce the flame and cook till the water evaporates.

Transfer it to a serving bowl and serve hot.
