Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 3-4green chillies
  3. 3-4garlic cloves
  4. 1/2 inchginger grated
  5. 200 gmswhite buttoned mushroom boiled
  6. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  7. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  8. 1 tspcoriander powder
  9. 2.5 tspmustard oil
  10. 1 inchcinnamon
  11. 2green cardomoms
  12. 3-4Cloves crushed
  13. 2onion thinely sliced
  14. 1large tomato chopped
  15. as neededCoriander leaves chopped for garnishing
  16. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    First rinse rice very well in water then soak rice in water for 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in a pan add the whole spices and saute then till they are fragrant.

    Then add the sliced onions,stir very well to medium flame till the onions become golden brown.

    Then add tomatoes stir and saute for 3 minutes.

    Add the boiled mushrooms, salt,garam masala powder,green chillies crushed cloves, grated gingee turmeric powder, coriander powder saute for 2-3 minutes.

    Add soaked rice and water and cover the pan with a lid and cook the biryani till the rice grains are done.

    Once the rice grains are cooked cover and allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving biryani.

    The gently fluff the rice with a fork.

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the biryani with salad or raita.a
