Casserole chicken biryani

Like every year on the day 1st this year too we had sumptuous share of our pot of biryani but this time tried doing in oven to save time. Happy new year

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsbasmati rice (soaked in water)
  2. 1 bowlchopped onion birista
  3. Bunchwhole garam masala (1 cinnamon stick, 3-5 cloves, 3-4 cardamoms)
  4. 5boiled eggs
  5. 3potatoes (cut in halves)
  6. 1 packbiryani masala
  7. 2large tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  8. 1 tbspred chilli powder
  9. 2large tbsp plain yoghurt
  10. 200 gmchicken
  11. 2-3 dropskewra water
  12. 2-3 dropsrose water
  13. Pinchsaffron in milk
  14. 3-4 stickcoriander leaf
  15. 1 sheetaluminium foil

Cooking Instructions

    For the chicken prep: marinade with yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste and biryani masala/garam masala store overnight.

    Fry the onion/potatoes deep in hot oil and keep aside

  3. 3

    Boil the rice with salt and some cardamoms until its cooked 90percent

  4. 4

    Cook the chicken mixture until its soft and edible. For layering the biryani spread ghee in casserole with 1st layer of chicken then rice and onion and coriander and eggs and potatoes. Fill in rose/kewra water and saffron milk

  5. 5

    Bake at 350 deg f for half an hour covering casserole with aluminium foil
