Grilled Turkey Breast

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat gas grill on medium high heat.
- 2
Take a fully thawed turkey breast out of it's packaging. Rinse with clean water and pat dry. Place on cutting board or work station. Make sure the cavity is empty of gravy packet or anything else.
- 3
After mixing dried seasoning together put about.25 of them in the cavity plus the onion.
- 4
Truss turkey breast if needed.
- 5
Rub the remaining herbs over entire turkey breast.
- 6
Pinch butter into small pieces and insert under skin.
- 7
Put turkey breast into an aluminum throwaway pan that can hold 7 pounds and cover with foil.
- 8
Make sure half the grill is turned off and the heat is running about 350*. Put turkey and pan on the side that is off. Close lid.
- 9
Cook for about 5 hours or until at least 170*. Be sure to baste every 30-60 minutes. I flipped mine over when a side would start getting dark brown.
- 10
About 30 min before turkey is finished cooking baste one last time and take aluminum foil off and finish cooking.
- 11
Turn grill and gas off and leave turkey in grill while it cools.

Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast
This turkey breast was the best we have had smoked,. Turkey can end up dry if your not careful to take it out and wrap it before it's cooked completely through. We took it out at an internal temperature of 150, wrapped it well and the ambient heat cooked it to perfection, it was so juicy and tender. The spice rub is spicy, so if you want it milder decrease the sriracha and black pepper some. fenway -

Thanksgiving Menu - Roasted Turkey Breast Thanksgiving Menu - Roasted Turkey Breast
I'm not sure why, but I have to finish Thanksgiving before I can embrace the Christmas festivities. In the past, I would only start decorating for Christmas the day after indulging in a big turkey feast. It feels like Thanksgiving represents the harvest of autumn, and only after autumn can we move on to winter celebrations. Seeing Christmas trees and snowflake decorations in November feels very out of place. My mom always said that a turkey needs to be at least 20 pounds to taste good; smaller ones dry out too quickly. Although things have become more Americanized here in recent years, and you can finally find whole turkeys in nearby supermarkets, it's still hard to find fresh ones that big. However, boneless, skinless turkey meat is easy to get, so I use bacon to replace the skin, and it tastes just as good.To keep the turkey moist, you must soak it in brine! Soak it overnight before roasting, and I guarantee it will be juicy and delicious! Laifu cooksTranslated from Cookpad Taiwan -
