Ingredients

  • 1 lblean ground beef
  • 1/2 canred kidney beans, rinsed (15 oz)
  • 1/2 cancrushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1/2 cuponion, chopped
  • 1 tsp(or 1 clove) minced garlic
  • 1 Tbspchili powder
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper
  • 1/2 tspground cumin
  • 1/4 tspcinnamon
  • 1/4 tspcayenne pepper (optional - depends on
  • how spicy you want it)
  • 2 tspred wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tspworcestershire sauce
  • 1 tspchocolate chips or cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cupswater

Steps

  1. 1

    INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Add all ingredients, except the beans, to a freezer bag. 2. Zip the bag closed and freeze.

  2. 2

    TO COOK: 1. Thaw in refrigerator the night before or the morning you plan to cook. 2. Place in slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on high, 6 hours on medium, or 8 hours on low. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours. 3. Add kidney beans and cook for another 20 minutes or so. Serve with cornbread.
