Avocado dip

This recipe is inspired by the 'Froggy Dip' in Annabel Karmel's 'Mom and Me Cookbook' (it's a favorite). The book shows pictures of kids doing the cooking, and notates where adults need to do the job! Add anything you like and be creative, the recipe is just a base.

Steps
- 1
Remove the avocado from it's skin. (Slice in half vertically, carefully remove seed, scoop out by sliding a spoon between 'meat' and skin) Place avocado in a bowl.
- 2
Add the lemon juice. Mash the avocado with a masher, fork or any tool you think might do the job!
- 3
Stir in the sour cream and spices of your choice.
- 4
Dice the tomato (optional) and stir into dip.
- 5
Enjoy with any dippers!! We had pretzels, sweet peppers, carrots, mushrooms and radishes. The other items suggested were cucumbers, pita bread and olives! Yum!
