Ingredients

30 minutes
6-8 servings
  1. For Arepas
  2. 1 cupmaize flour/ makke ka aata
  3. 1/2 cupricotta cheese
  4. 2 tbspbutter
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 2-3 tbspoil
  7. For topping
  8. 1/2 cupsour cream
  9. 1 cupmix vegetables- onion and capsicum (sliced)and frozen corn
  10. As needed mint leaves
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  13. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  14. 1 tbspoil
  15. 1 tbspchilli oil(Red chilli powder fried in oil)

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Place all the ingredients for arepas in a bowl and knead a dough with warm water or milk. Keep aside.

    Make balls with the dough and flatten them into small cakes.

  3. 3

    Heat a griddle and cook arepas in oil until they turn golden brown and crisp.

  4. 4

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry vegetables in it till they get cooked. Add salt and black pepper powder. Mix well.

    Now comes assembling. Place arepas on a plate, spread sour cream over them and place vegetable topping over them. Drizzle chilli oil over them, garnish with mint leaves and serve hot.
