  • 1orange
  • 1plain yogurt (about 5 oz or 125 grams)
  • 1yogurt container of sunflower oil (about 1/2 cup or 120 ml)
  • 2yogurt containers of granulated sugar (about 1 cup or 200 grams)
  • 3yogurt containers of all-purpose flour (about 1 1/2 cups or 190 grams)
  • 3eggs
  • 1 packetbaking powder (about 0.5 oz or 16 grams)
  • Chopped walnuts, to taste

    Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), using both upper and lower heat. Place the rack in the center of the oven.

    Peel the orange, removing all the white pith, and blend the whole orange in a food processor. In a bowl, combine the blended orange, its zest (grated before peeling), and the plain yogurt. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar.

    Add the orange and yogurt mixture. Stir well until fully combined.

    Add the sunflower oil and mix.

    Sift in the flour and baking powder. Mix all the ingredients well.

    Finally, add a handful of chopped walnuts. Once everything is mixed, pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. For a crunchy top, sprinkle a little sugar over the surface.

    Bake the cake for about 25 minutes at 350°F (180°C). Baking time may vary, so check with a toothpick—if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
