Wash the rajma and soak it overnight

Keep the other ingredients ready

Now take the onion, ginger and garlic and make a paste of it in the mixer.

Now heat a pressure cooker and put oil
- 5
Then put jeera and after it splutters put the onion paste. Sauté for a few minutes.

Now blend the tomatoes in the mixer. Add the paste in the cooker. Then add the green chillies. Sauté well for a few minutes.

Next add the dry masala powders and salt. Mix well and cook till the raw smell goes away. It will take a few minutes.Then add the rajma. Pour sufficient water and mix

Then cover the cooker and pressure cook it for 5 whistles, then on low flame for 10 minutes. After that turn off the gas.

Then when the cooker pressure releases open the cooker and mix the cooked rajma. Pour water and bring to required consistency. Check salt and spices and adjust accordingly. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice or roti.
