Steps

In a large bowl cream butter and sugar together. Then add the eggs.

Sieve the flour and cocoa powder. Mix gently. Add a splash of milk.

Line two 7 or 8 inch tins with baking paper.

Pour the mixture evenly into the tins

Put into the oven at gas mark 4 for 30 to 40 minutes

When they have come out of the oven, place on a cooling rack to cool for 30 minutes.

After cooled for 30 minutes take the cakes out of the tin. Leave for another 30 minutes

Cream the butter for the icing in a bowl.

Slowly add the icing sugar. When it is combined add the milk.

Mix gently. Add the cocoa powder. Mix again.

On a plate or board, ace on cake. Put a dollop of butter cream on. Spread it out until it reaches the edge.

Add the other cake. Repeat the step above and use the rest to ice the sides.

Place malteser's or buttons around in a circle on the top.
