Moong dal payasam or pasi paruppu payasam is a healthy, traditional & tasty dessert in south Indian meals
Steps

Preheat a sauce pan. Dry roast 1 cup Moong dal and then boil with 4 cups of water.

Mix 1 cup of jaggery & 1 cup of water. Boil till jaggery is completely dissolved.

Once the moong dal is cooked well to mashy consistency, strain the jaggery water into the moong dal pan. Add 1 cup of fresh coconut milk to the mixture and cook till the ingredients blend well.

Melt 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add cashew & dry grapes as required. Roast till it turns to golden brown color. Add roughly coconut to the pan.

Add 1/4 tsp cardamon powder & the roasted nuts to the cooked moong dal mixture. Sweet & delicious moong dal payasam is ready.
