Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2 cupsGlutinous rice flour
  2. 100-150 ggrated coconut
  3. 1 cupwater
  4. 1pot of boiling water
  5. 2 tablespoonsToasted peanut (preferably no skin) or toasted sesame seeds
  6. 2-3 tablespoonssugar (depends on preference of sweetness)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Mix the glutinous rice flour and water in a bowl into a dough

  2. 2

Roll into small balls and flatten using your thumb

  3. 3

Put them in a pot with boiling water. Once it floats, remove it from the water, put it on a plate wherein it can’t touch each other as they will be sticky. then cover it with the grated coconut. Save some grated coconut for the topping.

  4. 4

For its topping, grind the toasted peanut in mortar and pestle. If you have peanuts with skin it is easy to peel the skin after toasting. You can also use sesame seeds if you don’t have peanuts. No need to grind if you are using sesame seeds. If using sesame seeds, you can lightly toast it first in a pan to add that toasted flavor. Mix the peanuts or sesame seeds with sugar and any remaining grated coconut in a bowl.

  5. 5

To top it with the sugar-peanut mixture (step 4) then serve
