Handvo is popular Gujarati snack. Waffle is international delicacy which is prepared in special waffle machine and generally prepared from all purpose flour and served with honey, maple syrup, chocolate syrup etc. Here I have made a savoury waffle using handva batter instead of all purpose flour and also added beet root puree to make it more healthy.

Ingredients

20 minutes
2 persons
  • 1 cuphandva batter
  • 1/4 cupbeetroot puree
  • 1/2 tspbaking soda
  • as neededOil for cooking
  • For serving
  • 4 tbspGreen coriander chutney

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix beetroot puree in handva batter, then add salt, 1 tsp oil, baking soda and whisk properly.

    Grease and heat waffle maker (I used a gas waffle maker.)

    Then pour the prepared batter,close it and let it cool on slow flame.

    Serve hot with green chutney.
