For bafla:- In a bowl, take whole wheat flour, salt, baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, carom seeds and 2 tablespoon of oil and mix it until it starts holding shape.

Now preapre a semi-soft dough of it and leave it to rest for 8-10 minutes.

Divide it in equal portion and give it the shape of bafla.

Take a vessel and add 2-3 cups of water, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1/4 teaspoon of oil in it and allow it boil.

Then drop raw bafla in it and boil it until it starts floating on the surface of water then take it out of water and allow it cool down.

Now cut it into pieces and shallow fry it.

For dal:- In a bowl, add split green moong bean and split bengal gram in it and soak it in water for 2-3 hours.

Then transfer it into pressure cooker and add salt, turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon of oil, tomatoes and water (as per the requirement) in it and cook it for 3-4 whistle.

Heat clarified butter in a wok, add cumin seeds and asafoetida in it and allow it to splutter.

Then add chopped green chillies and garlic in and cook it for a minute.

Then add red chilli powder in it and mix it then add cooked dal in it and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium flame.

Now add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves in it, mix it well then switch off the falme.

Dal bafla is ready to serve now.
