Khaara in Urdu means salted and this vermicelli preparation is a specialty of Hyderabad. It is made as a breakfast mostly on festive mornings. It is made with kheema, yogurt and spices. It is absolutely an awesome treat to your taste buds. And apart from that, this can be relished on any given day for Dinner. This particular vermicelli is sold in every big and small bazaars of Hyderabad city just like the other sewaiyan called chutte ke sewaiyan used for the Sheerkhurma, another most popular sweet dish of this Nawabi city. Can also add any of your favourite veggies into it as a variation, thus making it even more healthier.

  2. 2

Saute the onions until done. Add the ginger garlic paste along with the chopped tomatoes. Cover and cook until the tomatoes are soft.

  3. 3

Now add the green chillies, mince mutton, along with the spices and the salt. Add the well beaten yogurt into it. Cover and cook it on low flame until the oil starts separating.

  4. 4

After the mince mutton is done, add the water and bring it to a rolling boil. Now add in the roasted vermicelli. Cover and cook until done. Water should always be added very carefully keeping in mind that the Vermicelli is thin. Garnish with coriander and serve hot. Yum!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
