Soak the moong dal for about 1 hour.

Drain the water and grind it along with green chillies and ginger. Try to make a fine paste. If needed add 1 -2 tbsp water.

Grind the peeled beetroot in to paste. Strain the liquid separate from the fiber. Add besan and a pinch of salt. Mix well.add water to make a thick batter. Fill this in a piping bag. Heat a non-stick pan. Spread some oil. Pour the moong dal batter. Spread it evenly. Now with the beetroot batter make circles at regular distance.

Flip the dosa once cooked from that side.

Your double colour nutrient rich morning breakfast is ready to serve. Serve with eithr tomato sauce or green chutney.
