Grind the coconut, shallots and small cumin once for 30 seconds

Boil the water with salt required for the dough. While it starts boiling add the rice powder to it little by little, mix well and switch off the flame

Take it aside, add the coconut mixture and the black cumin / sesame to it and mix well to make the dough.

Roll the dough to 1/2 inch thickness

Then cut out round shape with glass or any bowl.

Now switch on flame, pour oil. When oil it hot enough, put the raw pathiri in oil and lower the flame. Deep fry it in low flame until golden brown and then make the flame high for making the outer covering crisp

Pathiri is ready and you can have it with any spicy gravy
