Fried Chicken (Tenderloin) Wrapped with Nori Seaweed, Great for Bento Fried Chicken (Tenderloin) Wrapped with Nori Seaweed, Great for Bento
My mother used to make this dish when I was a kid. I thought chicken sticks would be fun to eat, so I tried it with chicken tenderloins. You have to use flour to coat the chicken! If you use katakuriko potato starch flour, it won't be sticky and the nori seaweed won't stick to the chicken.I used a plastic bag as shown in the picture. When you are making a large amount, use a bowl! You can substitute the chicken tenderloins with other kinds of chicken if you'd like. I came up with this recipe since I wanted to entertain my guests with gunkan maki. The nori seaweed may not stick well when you just made the gunkan maki. But if you stick the nori seaweed with some rice, or place a gunkan maki to hold the opening part, it will soon settle and stick together. For 6 portions. Recipe by HaradaKiTN cookpad.japan -

Zangi Chicken Kara-age Bento Zangi Chicken Kara-age Bento
I made a bento packed with various side dishes such as zangi (savoury or salty), potato salad (sour), braised kidney beans (sweet), fresh spring rolls (bitter) and scallop rice (umami). When the spitting noise from the oil calms down, it's time to take the chicken out. I call this noise, "angel's whisper." This kara-age recipe is for bento boxes so I don't use any garlic. Recipe by sachi825 cookpad.japan -

This is a classic recipe in our home that we've been making for a long time. It's also great if you add egg (my mother passed this on to me).2) It also works if you just use katakuriko.3) Don't fiddle with the chicken too much when you start deep frying.3) Start frying over medium heat, then increase to high heat at the end to get a crispy finish. I wanted a recipe that didn't require a microwave and could be easily made on busy mornings.
