I created this recipe while I was trying to remember the taste of the bento that my mom used make for me when I was a kid.

Ingredients

  1. 90 gramsMixed ground meat
  2. 1 tbspSake
  3. 1 tbspMirin
  4. 1 tbspSoy sauce
  5. 2 tbspSugar
  6. 1 dashGrated ginger
  7. Egg soboro
  8. 1Egg
  9. 1 dashSugar
  10. 2 tspMirin

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add the seasonings to a small pot. When they start to boil, add meat, and simmer until the liquid is almost gone.

  2. 2

    Egg Soboro: 1 egg, 2 teaspoons mirin, and a small amount of sugar.

  3. 3

    Heat a small amount of oil in a separate small pot, pour in all the egg mixture, and scramble until crumbly. Place the meat and egg soboro with your favorite green vegetables on a bed of rice in a bento box.
