Ingredients

  • For Chicken Preparation
  • 1/2 kgChicken
  • 1 tbspGinger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbspSalt
  • 1and 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 2-3Bay Leaves
  • 2Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 tspGaram Masala
  • 6Green Chilli (Crushed)
  • 1 cupFried Onion
  • 3 tbspGhee
  • For Rice Preparation
  • 2Chillies
  • 1 tspCumin
  • 2Bay Leaves
  • 1 tbspSalt
  • 2 cupsWater
  • 1/2 KgRice (Soaked for 2 hours.)
  • Biryani Layers
  • Marinated Chicken and Spices
  • 1/2 cupYoghurt
  • 1/2 BunchCoriander
  • 1/2 BunchMint Leaves
  • 2Chillies
  • 1/2 tspNutmeg And Mace Powder
  • 1/2 TspZarda ka Colour
  • Green Chillies
  • SlicesLemon
  • Fried Onions

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pot add Chicken, Turmeric, Salt, Garam Masala, Ginger Garlic Paste, Bay Leaves, Cinnamon Sticks, Ghee, Fried Onion, and Crushed Green Chilli.

    Mix Well and Marinate for 5-6 hours.

  3. 3

    In a pot add Water, Salt, Cumin, Bay Leaves, Chillies. Cover and Bring it to a Boil.

  4. 4

    Add in your Rice. Give it a Boil. Strain the Water.

  5. 5

    For the Layers, in a big Pot or Bowl. Add Marinated Chicken with Spices, then Yoghurt, the Coriander and Mint Leaves and then Chillies.

  6. 6

    Add Rice on Top. Add Ghee and Garam Masala. Add Nutmeg and Mace Powder. Add Pyaz, Green Chilli and Lemon Slices.

  7. 7

    Cover and Cook for 10 minutes on Medium flame to Build Steam.

  8. 8

    Cook for 30 minutes on Very Low Flame.

  9. 9

    Kachay Gosht ki Biryani is Ready.

  10. 10

    Enjoy your meal.
