Ingredients

30 minutes
4 People
  • 1 Cupgram flour (Besan)
  • 1 Tablespoonrefined flour (Maida)
  • 1/2 Teaspoonginger,green chilli paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoonsred chilli powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 3 cupsbuttermilk
  • 2 Tablespoonsoil for greasing
  • 1 Teaspoonmustard seeds
  • 1/2 TeaspoonAsafoetida (Hing)
  • 12-14curry leaves
  • Handful Chopped fresh Coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Grease the back side of steel Thails with some oil.

  2. 2

    Mix together gram flour, refined flour,ginger, green chilli paste,turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Add buttermilk and whisk to make a smooth batter.

  3. 3

    Heat a deep non- Stick pain.pour batter and cook till the mixture thickness, whisking continously.

  4. 4

    Spread the mixture on greased thalia thinly and set aside to cool.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter add asafoetida and curry leaves mix for a few seconds.

  6. 6

    Cut cooked mixture into thick strips, roll lightly and arrange on a serving plate.

  7. 7

    Pour tempering on top, garnish with Coriander leaves.

  8. 8

    Khandvi is ready to serve.
