Steps

Wash and soak dal for3-4 hrs.

Once again wash and put in the mixer jar, add peeled and grated ginger, chopped green chillies and fresh coriander leaves, cumin seeds. Grind it to a thick batter.

Pour in a bowl and whisk it or beat it with hand to incorporate air and continuously beat it for 15 to 20 minutes.

Heat the oil in a pan. Pour some batter with hand or spoon and fry till golden brown, fry them on a medium flame so that they get fried from inside. Soak the bhallas in warm water for 10 minutes.

In a bowl add thick curd and whisk it to make it smooth.add some ground sugar and mix well. Now take the bhallas one by one and press with your hands to remove the water and dip into curd.

Garnish with green chutney and tamarind chutney, sprinkle dahi masala, jeera powder, red chilli powder, pomegranate seeds and serve
