Simmered Hijiki

Looking for a traditional Japanese cuisine?
Hijiki is a healthy and nutritious seaweed I use almost every week.
I usually make a pot full of this simmered hijiki and store in the fridge for a couple of days.

Steps
- 1
Soak hijiki in a bowl of water. Drain after 20 minutes and wash it.
- 2
Heat sesami oil in a pan and stir-fry the hijiki for 5 minutes. Add the beans and chikuwas. Keep cooking for another 5 minutes.
- 3
Add all the seasonings and stir fry over medium heat.
- 4
Turn down the heat to simmer. When the liquid is almost all evaporated, you are ready to serve!
