Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1large chicken breasts cut cut into 1/4 inch thick
  • 1/2length of a Tenderloin pork sliced 1/4 Inch thick
  • Oil for Deep frying
  • 1 tspToasted sesame seeds
  • MARINADE........
  • 1Egg
  • 1 tblsCornstarch/flour
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • SAUCE.........
  • 1+1/2 tbls Tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tblsChilli sauce
  • 1/4 tspSweetbean sauce or Hoisin
  • 1 tblsWorsestershire sauce
  • 1+1/2 tbls Chinese Black vinegar or Rice Wine also Rice Vinegar
  • 1+1/2 tbls Sugar (I use half that amount)
  • 1 PinchChinese 5 spice powder (optional)
  • 2 tblsWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Pound chicken breasts slices with a mallet until tender. Then slice the pork. Set aside. In a bowl combine the marinade ingredients add in chicken slices mix and cover and marinate for 30 minutes.

    In a separate bowl mix the sauce ingredients you can use less sugar and adapt it to your taste by adding a little more or less of the other sauce ingredients.

    Heat up the wok with enough oil to cover the chicken slices when deep frying. Fry for 5 minutes until chicken is coloured and a little crisp. Take out the chicken drain on kitchen roll and set aside.

    In a Saucepan Bring the sauce to a quick boil add it to deep fried chicken stir until all the chicken is covered in the sauce. Then in a dry hot pan toast the sesame seeds moving them around for about 2 minutes set aside

    Add the chicken and sauce to a serving dish and sprinkle all on top the toasted sesame seeds. Serve over a bowl of hot steamed Rice.

Cookpad founder Member Ambassador, Also a Cookaholic.I love this Cookpad Site, Recipes, friends, interesting people and outstanding recipes, and able to see and to taste food from all over the world. i have learned so much more here, spices , herbs and lovely recipes of different cultures. also experimenting mixing different herbs and spices and making my own creations .I have cooked for my family since I was 14yrs, home from school as my Grandmother could no longer cook she was 91yrs, my Dad worked and there was only me so I learned quite quick and have always enjoyed it. I only started experimenting with herbs and spices and items I had never heard of before through joining Cookpad 2014 and I'm still learning new things. It is a passion of mine and I always invite my family around so I can create something new for them to try. my children grew up learning lots from me I have 3 daughters all with their own families and two Sons one who cooks for his family also my youngest son who is still at home with me,he comes up with some lovely meals and ideas so I'm proud of them all. 💜
