Banana fritters

I am on the faction that even shoes taste good in batter and fried, still, I am not a big fan of frying because oil, oil everywhere!

Still, banana fritters taste good and #mycookbook kind of homeliness, though to be honest I'm more of the fan of the fried batters leftover haha.

I like dipping them in hagelslaag for more sugar rush but cacao powder is good too.

Some people cut the banana in fan shape for nicer presentation, but good old slices are never wrong.

Utensils: knife, cutting board, spoon, bowl, wok, wooden spoon/tongs, sieve

Steps

30mins
  1. 1

Cut the banana as thin as you can

  2. 2

Mix the two flour, sugar, about 100ml of water(?) until it is runny but not falling down from the apoon

  3. 3

Heat oil. Check whether it's ready by dropping a drop of batter and see whether it bubbles.

  4. 4

Coat three or four slices of banana with the batter, fry until yellow brown.

  5. 5

Leftover batters are good too to fry, actually my favourite parts.

  6. 6

Eat by themselves or like me with hagelslaag or cocoa powder. Some people also uses syrup or powdered sugar but I'm not a fan.

No-recipe, 1-hour or less batch cooker for 1. I usually buy grocery monthly, so recipes are usually pantry staples + dry ingredients. I also like microwave oven! Mostly SEA-inspired cooking. I apparently do a lot of fusions.
