Steps
- 1
Infuse the cream with the peeled and crushed garlic cloves. Once it comes to a boil, strain out the garlic and let the cream cool.
- 2
Slice the potatoes into thin rounds using a mandoline.
- 3
Grease a baking dish with butter and line it with parchment paper.
- 4
Beat the eggs and mix them with the cream (liason), seasoning with nutmeg, black pepper, and salt.
- 5
Line the sides of the dish with potato slices, then alternate layers of potatoes and cream mixture until all the potatoes and cream are used.
- 6
Bake in the oven for 1 hour at 350°F (180°C), checking with a toothpick as it may be done sooner.
- 7
Once baked and cooled, remove from the dish and serve as a side. Hope you enjoy it!
