Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsoaked basmati rice
  2. 1/2 cupgrated coconut
  3. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  4. 5 cupWater
  5. 1 tablespoonsunflower oil
  6. 1/3 cupTuar Dal (split pigeon peas)
  7. 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric Powder
  8. 1 cupchopped Mixed Vegetables
  9. 1/2 teaspoonMustard Seeds
  10. 1 tablespoonSambhar Powder
  11. 1/2 tablespoonSeedless Tamarind
  12. 1Tomato finely chopped
  13. 1 tablespoonOil

    For this easy breakfast/brunch recipe, grind rice and coconut to a very fine paste then add 5 cups water and 1/2 tsp of salt.

    Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladle full of batter and spread it evenly.
    Lower the heat and cover pan for 1/2 a minute or so.Then dribble a few drops of oil around the dosa.

    Once it is brown and crisp, serve it with sambar or chutney.

    Prepare Tamarind Juice – soak 1/2 tablespoon tamarind in 3-tablespoons of hot water for 10-15 minutes, mash it with a spoon and strain it using a sieve and discard the solids.

    Add toor dal, turmeric powder and 1 cup water in 3-4 liters capacity steel or aluminum pressure cooker. Add mixed vegetables in a small container, place it inside the pressure cooker and close the cooker lid. Pressure cook over medium flame for 3-4 whistles. For this recipe we used 1/4 cup potato, 1/4 cup brinjal, 1/4 cup carrot and 1/4 cup French beans as mixed vegetables

    Add oil in pan at low flame add sambhar masala and add vegitable 4 to 5 min fried and messed and mixed in dal all material mixed and trun off till forthy ittake 5 min and trun off dalne samber is ready.
