Ingredients

  1. 450 gsausage meat or 6 sausages, skins removed
  2. 1 clovegarlic
  3. 300 gPassata
  4. 350 gpasta
  5. 1 tbspolive oil
  6. 400 mlwater
  7. 1 tspsugar
  8. 1 slicebread, crumped
  9. 5basil leaves, coarsely chopped
  10. 100 gmature cheddar, grated

    Heat oil in pan and brown the sausage meat

    Add chopped garlic to the sausage meat and cook for 1 min

    Add the passata, water, sugar and salt and pepper. Simmer for 15min

    While meat is simmering, preheat the oven to 180oC and cook the pasta until al dente

  5. 5

    Once the sauce has simmered, add chopped basil and simmer for another minute

    Stir in pasta to sauce ensuring all the pasta is covered in sauce

    Pour into oven proof dish (ours is 20x30cm). Top with grated cheese and bread crumps

    Cook for 20min
