If you are tired of eating of that same old idli then try this variation.
Steps

First of all cut each idli into 4 piece. Keep aside.

In a kadhai, heat oil add chana dal and urad dal. Saute for 2 minutes. Then add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Let them crackle. Now add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute.

Now add the chopped idlis, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Mix well.

Cook till the idlis turn little crisp. Turn off the flame.

In a serving plate, place the idlis. Put some chopped onions and chopped tomatoes. Put some amchur chutney and green chilli coriander chutney.

Finally sprinkle nylon sev, chat masala. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Serve immediately.
