It may not be favourite vegetable for many but it is everyone's favourite sabzi at my home. Again it can be done with minimum ingredients which I like the most and it's healthy too.

Note : Ridge Gourd won't absorb oil much so if you are not fond of too much oil, use less.

Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  • 1medium sized Ridge Gourd
  • 7-8Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Chopped ridge gourd into small pieces.

    Heat the pan with oil. Add chopped garlic, jeera and turmeric powder.

    Add chopped ridge gourd, red chilli powder and salt. Mix it well. Cover it. No need to add water. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

    Serve with Roti or Paratha.
