Kunafeh

Kanafeh is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert .It is a common desssert during Ramadan.Kunafeh is a syrup soaked cheese pastry dessert made of vermicelli or semolina dough .It is stuffed with white cream cheese .. syrup of sugar is poured all over the Kunafeh after it is cooked.

Mix the sugar, water, and lemon juice together.Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely.

Now cruse vermicelli. Add butter and 1 spoon sugar powder.Mix it with your hands

For cream filling.. take a thick pan. Add milk + milk powder + cornflour.. now boil it. Stir well until it becomes a thick batter.

Add 3 spoon sugar and cream chese.. stir well..boil until it becomes a thick batter.

In baking pan add 1/2 of thevermicelli and spread eventually.press firmly into the pan

Spread cream filling eventually..now cover the filling with remaining vermicelli

Making sure to cover the edges first to seal the cheese and prevent it from leaking during baking. Press in firmly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. 180 degree.Once baked, remove from the oven and carefully flip over onto a serving tray or plate. Gently lift the baking pan away from the knafeh.

Pour the sugar syrup all over Kunafeh. when the syrup is added it doesn’t run off the serving plate.Garnish with pistachio.
