Ingredients

30minutes
4 servings
  • 1cup-whole wheat flour
  • 1/2cup-gram flour
  • 1/2cup-jaggery powder
  • 1/4cup-ghee
  • 1/4cup-milk or as required
  • 2tbsp-unsweetened coco powder
  • 1/2tsp-baking powder
  • 2tbsp-chopped almonds

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl sieve the whole wheat flour, gram flour, coco powder and baking soda. In an another bowl take jaggery powder and ghee and mix. Add this jaggery mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Rub with hands until it appears like bread crumbs.

  2. 2

    Add chopped almonds and milk little by little as required and make a dough. Meanwhile pre heat the oven.

  3. 3

    Grease the microwave safe plate and dust with wheat flour. Take a equal amount of dough. Roll each portion on palm and then flatten slightly.

  4. 4

    Arrange the prepared nankhatai on the plate such that they do not touch each other. Keep enough space between them as they spread out while baking.

  5. 5

    Place the plate in the pre heated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool down.enjoy with tea or coffee.
