Ingredients

  1. Step 1:
  2. 1 litreMilk
  3. 1 fist (aik mutthi)Rice...
  4. 3-4Green cardamom
  5. Step 2 :
  6. 3Bread slices
  7. 1 cupPowder milk
  8. 3Step :
  9. 1 +1/4 cupsSugar

Cooking Instructions

    Step 1 : Blend the soaked rice. Boil milk and add rice and cardamom into it. Cook on slow flame until rice done.

    Step 2: Make crumbs of fresh bread in blender. Take frying pan, add bread crumbs and dry roast it on low flame until brown (approx. 8-10 minutes) & take out in a bowl. Add dry milk in a same bowl mix it well and keep it aside.

    Step 3: Sugar 1 +1/4 cups
    Grease frying pan with cooking oil, add & spread sugar evenly and cook on very low flame for 12-15 minutes or until caramelized. Stir continuously with rubber spatula or else the sugar will burn.
    Quickly transfer sugar into the hot milk. Add bread crumbs and dry milk also (add slowly and keep stirring avoid to make lumps).
    Cook on slow flame stir continuously.

    Be careful !!!
    ❌ DO NOT BURN SUGAR OR OVERCOOKED CAN CAUSE A KHEER TO BE RUINED.

    ✅ COOK SUGAR ON LOW FLAME UNTIL IT CHANGE GOLDEN COLOUR THEN TRANSFER IT INTO MILK POT IMMEDIATELY

    Step 4:
    Add pistachio and almonds as required. Adjust sugar if needed. Cook until the consistency is creamy, not too thick as it will turn more thicker when temp cools.
    Switch off the flame. Add lil kewra water.
    Garnish with nuts. Chill and serve.
