Ingredients

  1. 2 CupsPuffed Rice (Murmura/Mamra)
  2. 1 TablespoonRoasted Peanuts
  3. 5-6Paapdi
  4. 1/2 CupSev (think crunchy noodles made from Gram Flour
  5. 1/2 CupOnions
  6. 1/2 CupBoiled Potatoes
  7. 1/2 CupTomato
  8. 1Green Chilli
  9. 2 TablespoonsFresh Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  10. 1/2 TablespoonLemon Juice
  11. 2 TeaspoonsTamarind Chutney
  12. 2 TeaspoonsGreen Coriander Chutney
  13. 1 TeaspoonSalt, or to taste
  14. 1/2 TeaspoonRed Chilli Powder
  15. 1 TeaspoonChaat Masala

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Take puffed rice in a large bowl. Add 5-6 pieces of namkeen papdi, roasted peanutes and sev. You can also add mixed namkeen, bundi or roasted chana dal.

    Add boiled potato, diced tomatoes, finely diced onion and fresh cut pieces of green chilli into the bowl.

    Add red chilli powder, chaat masala powder and salt to the bowl. Add tamarind chutney (imli ki chutney) and green coriander chutney along with a dash of fresh lemon juice and mix all the ingredients well.

    Bhel puri is ready. Garnish it with sev and freshly cut coriander leaves (hara dhaniya) before serving.
