In Arab and Mediterranean cuisine, kafta is common. These are skewers of minced meat, spices, and aromatic herbs originating from the Middle East, specifically Lebanon. With an aromatic flavor, though not spicy, their texture and aroma make them very popular with all palates. They are usually eaten with a side of white rice or inside pita bread.

Cooking Instructions

Finely chop the onion.

Chop the mint and parsley.

Add all the ingredients to the ground meat and mix very well until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Let it marinate for several hours, preferably overnight.

Form balls the size and shape of a croquette, placing them on skewers and pressing them well so they don't fall apart during cooking.

Grill on the barbecue or in the oven under the broiler.

Serve hot with cooked basmati rice and warm pita bread.
