Steps

First wash 1 & 1/2 cup of sabat masoor daal thoroughly then soak in water for 30 mins.

Drain water then add daal masoor in the pressure cooker pot.
Add 5-6 glasses of water.
Add red chilli powder, red chilli flakes, salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
Add sliced onion.
Add sliced tomatoes.
Close the lid and cook for 20 minutes after whistling. - 3
Turn off flame and open the pressure cooker after pressure release.
Add fresh coriander leaves, green chillies and garam masala powder. - 4
Now for Tarka..
Add 1/2 cup of oil in a pan and turn on flame to medium.
Add white cumin seeds.
When oil is well cooked, add ginger garlic paste.
Cook until golden brown colour.
Add tarka in the cooker pot and close the lid for 10 mins before serving. - 5
Mix and serve with boiled rice or chapati.
