Steps
- 1
Grease a 6-inch baking pan and set aside.
- 2
Measure the flour and baking powder into a sieve, and sieve into a wide bowl. Add the nutmeg. Mix the dry ingredients together.
- 3
Place the butter into a bowl. Add the honey and yoghurt. Mix with and electric mixer.
- 4
Break the eggs into a glass bowl. Whip until it is frothy.
- 5
Add the whipped eggs to the butter mixture. Mix with the mixer for about 5 mins.
- 6
Add the dry ingredients while mixing. Continue mixing for about 5 minutes.
- 7
Pour the batter into the baking pan. Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour (at medium heat).
- 8
When it is baked, place it to cool on a rack. Slice into portions and serve with a drink of your choice. I served it with a glass of yoghurt. The slightly tart taste of the cake is a nice complement to whichever drink you choose.
