Chicken Pulao

Chicken Pulao is our family's favorite. It is best for dawats as well.
Steps

For Yakhni take a clean piece of muslin cloth.

Add in fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cloves and whole black pepper. Tie a knot making a pouch.

In a pot add enough water, chicken, the cloth pouch, ginger garlic paste and salt.

Cook this until chicken is tender.

In a separate pan heat oil and fry onions.

Add bay leaves, black pepper and cloves.

When the onions gets brown add Ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, green chillies, mint, coriander and salt.

Cook it until tomatoes gets soft.

Now add the rice and Yakhni. The amount of Yakhni should just be an inch over rice

Cook until rice are done and the water dries up. Serve with mint raita.
