Alkaline Tomato Basil Pasta

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 CupWalnuts
  2. 1/4 CupBella Mushrooms
  3. 6Roma Tomatoes, cut in halves
  4. 1-2 CupsSpelt Pasta
  5. 1/2 CupGreen Bell Pepper, diced
  6. 1/2 CupGreen Onions, chopped
  7. 1Large Shallot Clove, chopped
  8. 1/2 TeaspoonSea Salt (as desired)
  9. 1/2 TablespoonOregano (as desired)
  10. 1/2 TablespoonBasil (as desired)
  11. 2Bay Leaves
  12. 1/2 TablespoonOnion Powder (as desired)
  13. 1/4 TeaspoonCayenne Powder (as desired)
  14. 2 TablespoonsGrapeseed Oil

Cooking Instructions

30-45 minutes

    Boil walnuts (removes the bitterness from the walnuts).

    Ground walnuts in food processor.

  3. 3

    Rinse Mushrooms and pay dry.

    Ground mushrooms in food processor.

  5. 5

    Coat sauce pan with Grapeseed Oil.

  6. 6

    Add seasonings to heated oil: oregano, basil, bay leaves and onion power.

    Add shallots, green onions and green bell pepper to sauce pan.

    Add roma tomatoes to sauce pan, sea salt and cayenne pepper(Roast for 5-10 minutes on stove, uncovered).

    Cover sauce pan for 15-20 minutes.

    Add ground walnuts and ground mushroom.

    Simmer spaghetti sauce.

    Boil spelt pasta in vegetable broth. Drain and rinse pasta. Add pasta to spaghetti sauce
