Ingredients

  • 40 gAll-purpose Flour (1/4 cup) Sieved
  • 25 gUnsweetened Cocoa Powder (3 1/2 tbsp)
  • 1/4 tspBaking Soda
  • 70 gSugar (1/3 cup + 1 tbsp)
  • 30 gButter (1/4 stick)
  • 1Egg
  • 60 gMilk (1/4 cup)
  • Use 8 inch heavy bottom pan
  • For Milk Bath
  • 1/3 cupmilk (or chocolate milk)

Steps

  1. 1

    Melt the butter in the pan.

  2. 2

    Add in cocoa powder and whisk. Add sugar, egg and whisk. Add flour, baking soda and milk and whisk.

  3. 3

    Cook on stove over low heat, cover lid and cook for 10 - 12 mins.

  4. 4

    Do the tooth pick test. Bring pan off heat and keep lid on until fully cooked.

  5. 5

    Remove cake to cool completely. Once cool, transfer the cake back into the pan.

  6. 6

    Poke holes to cake. Pour milk over cake for milk bath.
