Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings

Chop and measure all the ingredients. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place all the spices in a blender and blend into a smooth paste. Season the chicken wings and let them marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or 3 hours in the refrigerator. Place the wings on a baking sheet and bake at high heat for about 1 hour until browned. You can also grill them if you prefer.

TO PREPARE THE RICE: In a small pot, heat the oil and sauté the onion, garlic, bell peppers, and thyme together. Add the rice and toast it lightly. Add the water, coconut milk, and salt, and bring to a boil without letting it overflow. Reduce the heat and cook slowly until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Add the cooked black beans and stir.
