Basic Potato Croquettes

These fries are one of my family's favorites!
Please check out my Fried Okraas well!
I also recommend giving this batter recipe,, a try. If you coat vegetables that have already been dipped in panko in this batter, they'll fry even more beautifully!

I recommend using Irish Cobbler potatoes (it is a type of yellow potato) for this recipe. Nutmeg is optional: these croquettes will be delicious regardless.
For Step 7, please combine the ○ ingredients to make a sauce. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 5Potato (large)
  • 150 gramsCombined ground beef and pork
  • 1/2Onion (medium) 1/4- Cabbage (shredded)
  • 1Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1Nutmeg (to taste)
  • 1 tbspButter
  • 1Panko
  • 1Cake flour
  • 1Egg
  • 1Oil
  • 3tablespoons- ○Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
  • 3tablespoons- ○Ketchup

Steps

  1. 1

    First, boil the potatoes in the microwave. Refer toto find out how.

  2. 2

    Finely chop the onions. Add the butter in a heated frying pan and cook the meat until it browns. Then add the onions and cook through. Season with the salt and pepper and nutmeg.

  3. 3

    Peel the boiled potatoes and mash them lightly with a fork. Combine the potatoes with the meat and onion mixture and shape into small oval patties. Once they cool, chill in the fridge.

  4. 4

    Coat the croquettes with a layer of flour, egg, then panko.

    Fry the croquettes in oil at 170℃ until golden brown.

    When the croquettes have finished cooking, take them out and drain on a wire rack.

    Serve the croquettes on a plate with some shredded cabbage. Combine the ingredients marked with ○ to make a sauce and pour it over the top of the croquettes to finish.
