Ingredients

  • 1cupdal
  • 1/2 cupUrdh dal
  • 1/2 cupTur dal
  • 1/2 cupMoong dal
  • 1/4 cupPeanut
  • 5Red dry chilli
  • 1 tspPepper corn
  • 1 tspCumin
  • Garlic 6 pearls (crushed)
  • Curry leaves 1/2 cup
  • Ginger 1 small piece (crushed)
  • 1/2 tspFennel seed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Onion 2 (cut into small pieces)

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak all dal for 2 to 3 hours

  2. 2

    Grind pepper, cumin, fennel and dry chilli coarsely

  3. 3

    Grind soaked dal coarsely, add onion, ground powder, salt curry leaves, ginger and garlic

  4. 4

    Combine well, keep a deep pan, pour enough oil, take the dal mix little by little and make vada, fry until golden brown in medium flame

  5. 5

    Serve with ketchup
