Semur (Indonesian Beef Stew)

This dish is so simple and easy to make, yet it's very much flavorful.
The authentic version usually using some beef chunks, slow-cook along with the potato. This recipe is the shortcut (lazy) version, as I am using minced beef, so it cooks faster. Regardless, I think it is still tasty.

Steps
- 1
Put all meatballs ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Make some round meatballs and put aside.
- 2
Put all soup stock ingredients in a pan (except the glass noodle), put it on a stove and bring it to boil.
- 3
Add in meatballs to the broth. Once meatballs are cooked (float to the surface), add in the glass noodles and cook for another 5-10 mins. Taste the broth and adjust to your liking.
- 4
Served your meatballs soup with steamed veggies and chips. You can cook the potatoes with the meatballs if you like, but I prefer mine cooked separately. I think it adds more depth to the dish.
